Lewis & Tayburn has marked the 70th anniversary of a Scottish baking dynasty with a cartoon mascot designed to embody warmth, joy and friendliness.
Baynesy will appear across stickers, posters, website and social media assets associated with Bayne’s The Family Bakers, as he communicates the history of the business to new audiences.
Ricky Stevens, creative director at Tayburn commented: “We wanted to ensure that Baynesy not only reflected the rich heritage of Bayne’s but also had a fresh, digital-first personality that could evolve with the brand. We understand that brand characters create warm emotive connections with the audience which increases brand recall, so this was a big part of our thinking behind Baynesy.”
Building on the brand’s heritage the forward-looking design has been built from the ground up as a joyful digital presence that utilises animation, interactions and graphics to bring the business to life in a playful manner.
Baynes has also opened its 70th shop at Inveralmond Retail Park in Perth, designed by Bracewell Stirling Consulting.
