BAFTA Scotland has become the latest tenant of The Social Hub, a hybrid workspace home to leading creative and design studios including Made Brave, Contagious, HOKO and Scarinish.
The Scottish branch of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts will use the Merchant City as offices and an events space as part of its established outreach programme.
Jude MacLaverty, director at BAFTA Scotland, commented: “Our move to The Social Hub is all about being part of a community, and being able to offer more to our members. We’re able to roll out an impactful events programme under the same roof as our office – from masterclasses to workshops – and that’s something we weren’t able to do anywhere else. It’s a real creative hub and we’re already making brilliant connections to support us in our mission to inspire and celebrate the future of creative screen talent in Scotland.”

Combining co-working spaces, traditional offices, a hotel, student accommodation, a restaurant, and eight event spaces totalling 1,500sq/m the creative hub has capacity for gatherings of up to 180 people.
The Glasgow hub is one of 20 European venues operated by Scottish entrepreneur Charlie MacGregor under The Social Hub brand.
