Chief Executive Officer, Lar Housing Trust

Ann graduated from Glasgow University, with an LLB in 1993 and spent her career as a commercial lawyer at one of Scotland’s largest law firms, MacRoberts solicitors, leaving as a partner in early 2009. As a lawyer, Ann worked primarily on high value infrastructure and construction projects, acting in some of the most high profile transactions of that time.

Ann was involved in producing the business case for Lar Housing Trust, which was established by the Scottish Futures Trust in late 2015. Ann has since led Lar though its set up, start up and delivery phases, being appointed as Chief Executive of Lar in March 2016. Under Ann’s leadership Lar has grown to now provide c.800 homes for affordable midmarket rent across Scotland, with a number of further sites in construction or in planning. Lar also has two subsidiary companies, one of which constructs new housing on challenging brownfield sites and the other provides commercial and residential letting and factoring services. Ann is a director of both subsidiaries.
