Laura Tickner

Laura joined Creatomatic in late 2022 and we’re not sure how we ever managed without her.

Laura joined us full time in Lockerbie with a First Class (BA) Hons degree in Illustration and solid 3 years’ work experience under her belt. She's brought a professional and fresh perspective to our design team and lifted the quality of our work immediately.

Laura is a true creative, bringing passion and ambition to every project. So far, we have yet to find a business sector or subject matter that she can’t turn her hand to. Laura has a huge list of interests, including travelling and keeping up to date with the latest news and trends. These passions carry through into her creative process, with every project looking clean, fresh, classy and modern. In a world of templates and squares, Laura introduces individuality and attention to detail that we, and our clients, are blown away by.

Laura’s work reflects quality, substance and class, with a modern and intuitive twist. Her professional conduct is superb and we had zero hesitation in throwing her straight to work with some of our longest serving clients. The feedback so far has been nothing but positive from everyone she’s worked with.

Laura’s wicked sense of humour and wit are part of what makes her a great team member and a fun, engaging designer. In fact, her portfolio piece - the ”Just Desserts” Cookbook - was a clincher in the interview process. As well as showcasing hand lettering skills, it reflects her creativity and her ability to translate this into design.

Completely unflappable, Laura has that magic ability to take a brief and turn it into something that exceeds expectation. In her time with us, Laura has worked with a diverse range of clients, including:

Outside of work, Laura enjoys running, and last year, ran an impressive 5k a day to raise money for Addison’s Disease. Laura has also completed a first aid for mental health course and continues to impress us with her compassion and dedication.
