Cadherent

Aberdeen-based engineering consultancy Cadherent has acquired architectural visualisation agency Touch3D for an undisclosed sum, establishing the Granite City as a key player in construction visualisation.

The marriage is being hailed as a new era for clients and staff, with both businesses stressing the benefits of diversification in helping to bring engineering and architectural projects to life.

Grant Watson, head of Touch3D, commented: “The acquisition of Touch3D by Cadherent not only enhances our service offerings but also aligns perfectly with our long-term vision of growth and innovation. By leveraging the 3D/photogrammetry surveying, engineering and design expertise of Cadherent, we can build on the synergies we have already discovered in our past collaborations.”

Emphasising scale and skills as the key to further growth David Thomson, managing director of Cadherent, added: “This is more than just an acquisition, it’s an opportunity to leverage our combined strengths and deliver even greater value to our clients.”

The new pairing has seen Touch3D relocate across the Granite city to Cadherent’s offices at North Esplanade West, expanding their skillset to include engineering design, 3D animation and industrial know-how in the process.
