Superglass brand ambassador Kevin McCloud has headed up north to front a new film celebrating the Stirling roots of a glass mineral wool manufacturer.
The Walk sees the avuncular Grand Designs host travel to the Ochil Hills to celebrate the Superglass story through the prism of community and the environment, charting its enduring presence in the city and its commitment to social good and energy efficiency.
On a visit to its Stirling factory, McCloud dons his hard hat to show how waste glass is diverted from landfill to be heated, spun and woven to create the wool-like properties familiar to end users, espousing the ‘Made to Make a Difference’ mantra of the business in the process.
Theresa Mclean, CEO at Superglass, commented: “This campaign marks a new chapter for Superglass as we continue to build on our commitment to sustainability and innovation. We are immensely proud of our roots in Stirling and our ability to create products that offer real benefits to the environment.”
Created by Frame the three-minute piece gives viewers a whirlwind history lesson, detailing the manufacturer’s 30-year presence in the city and its insulation products, made from up to 84% recycled glass.
